Lambda sells GPU compute two ways: on-demand cloud rental at published hourly rates and large reserved-capacity contracts with hyperscalers and enterprises. The growth inflection came from the second category — most visibly a multibillion-dollar deal with Microsoft signed before the November 2025 Series E, which turned Lambda from a spot-market GPU vendor into a contracted capacity provider.
The capital cycle explains the pace. Lambda raised over $1.5B from TWG Global and USIT in November 2025 to build what it calls 'superintelligence cloud' infrastructure, bringing total funding past $2 billion. Revenue roughly tripled from the ~$425M run rate of late 2024 to a ~$1.5B expectation for 2026, and the company is reportedly negotiating a pre-IPO round of up to $3B at a $12B-plus valuation.
