Pricing model
Per resolved conversation
Sacra
Sierra does not sell seats and mostly does not sell usage. It sells outcomes: customers pay per conversation the agent actually resolves. That aligns the vendor with the buyer's real metric — deflected tickets — and it makes contract value grow with support volume instead of headcount, which is exactly the wrong direction for a legacy per-agent license.
The catch is that outcome pricing only works with heavy implementation. Sierra bundles configuration and ongoing optimization into multi-year enterprise agreements, which is why the first $100 million took seven quarters and the second took two: the hard part is the first deployment in each account, and everything after that compounds.

FAQ
Agents priced per resolved conversation don't fit legacy billing. Clink meters outcomes, manages the plans and carries merchant-of-record tax for conversational products.
